This corner lot had a big stretch of plain decomposed granite along two streets. We laid out a planting plan that spreads desert shrubs, accents and a few boulders across the whole frontage so the yard looks full from every angle without crowding the sidewalk.
Every plant was set at the right depth with a watering basin, and fresh granite was raked in around them. As the plants grow in, the corner turns into a low-water desert garden that frames the house.
