Imagine stepping into a backyard oasis designed for ultimate relaxation and recreation. Three Timbers transformed this outdoor space with a stunning artificial turf bocce ball court, surrounded by a luxurious pool and seating area. Perfect for entertaining or unwinding with family, this custom design seamlessly blends functionality and beauty, creating a space that can be enjoyed year-round in the Phoenix Valley’s sunny climate.
This desert backyard was rebuilt around the pool as a full outdoor living space. A long bocce court with a raised masonry border runs along one side of the yard, set into artificial turf and framed by a bed of decorative rock and young desert plants.
Ivory travertine ties the whole yard together. It wraps the pool deck and the house, and out in the yard it is laid as large squares separated by thin strips of turf, creating a grid pattern that leads past a new stacked stone wall. A rectangular fire feature sits in its own field of turf with a travertine border.
The progress photos show the build in stages: the fire feature and travertine border set in bare graded soil, the turf base prepared, and the bocce court border going in before the final surface was laid.
