A sloped, wooded backyard was reworked into a long, level paver patio held back by tall terraced block retaining walls.
The walls step up the hillside in tiers with matching caps, and a set of block steps climbs the slope at one end. Wide block steps also tie the patio into the lower areas of the yard.
The patio is laid in a gray, multi-size paver pattern with a contrasting border. Gravel beds run between the patio and the walls, and the paving continues under the deck and along the side of the house.
