A curved block retaining wall was built around a raised pool deck, holding back a planting bed around a mature tree and creating a defined grade change between the pool and the lower yard.
Wide block steps with smooth caps lead from the lower level up to the pool deck, and a second run of steps connects to the side yard along the fence. Capped side walls frame each stairway.
At the base of the steps, herringbone brick pavers and gray paver landings connect the new stairs to the existing patio and walkways.
