This project stepped a slope down with tiered block retaining walls along the driveway. Each tier is a raised planter bed filled with mulch, perennials and container flowers, so the walls double as a garden.
The terraces hold back the soil, add usable planting space and turn a plain slope into a colorful feature right where the homeowners see it every day.
